The new Samsung Galaxy S4 was presented from the president and head of IT and mobile communications for Samsung Electronics, JK Shin in New York but won’t be realised for sale until end of April.
You don’t even need to lay a finger on it! It now contains infrared sensors on the front which detect when a hand is waved in front of the screen, this feature is used to answer calls or even flick through pages from one web page to another.
A new feature available on the S4 is that you can now just point a finger at applications like photos, messages and calendar entries and they will preview a zoomed image.
Not only hand gestures but your eyes can have control! Like the S3 the S4 also has a feature where when viewing a video the phone can automatically pause when the eyes look away, it will also resume when the user’s eyes look back to the screen. If the user tilts the screen while looking at it, the handset will scroll through documents.
One amazing fact is that on those cold days when we all don’t want to remove our gloves to use our mobiles, we now don’t even need to worry about that! Samsung have redesigned the touch-sensitive circuitry to be able to still recognise the touch! It also has a temperature and humidity sensor and a battery of 2600 mAh, which is over 24 hours talk time and over 286 hours standby.
This phone has a 5-inch, high-definition display, with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels the phones feature a much higher pixel density “Retina” display on the Apple iPhone.
Capacity of the handset has changed, it now will be available in 16, 32 and 64GB.
It has a 13 megapixel rear camera, and its 2 megapixel front-facing camera, you can even take a shot at the same time to create a composite image that includes both the subject of the shot, and the face of the person taking the shot.
If your a gym junkie you may be shocked and exited because the Galaxy even has a pedometer built into it, too, that can measure how many steps its owner has taken.
Samsung have focused on the software, the screen and the electronics this is why they have produced the handset in a polycarbonate body, which is cheaper and easier to make.
You won’t want to wait to get your hands on this!
